Help us win these prizes:

This year, we’re asking our supporters to help us win one of two key prizes (or both):
📅 Prime Time Prize – $1000 awarded to the nonprofit that receives the most money between 8-10 PM on Wednesday, March 12
📅 Mid-Day Prize – $1000 awarded to the nonprofit with the most gifts of $50 or more between 11 AM-2 PM on Thursday, March 13
Your gift during these time slots helps us qualify for additional funding—meaning your support goes even further!

Mark your calendars for March and get ready to support the Traveling Library during the annual Raise the Region fundraising event! This is your chance to help us continue bringing books, programs, and joy to our community. This online fundraising event brings in over $10,000 of crucial funds for the library each year, and we depend on our community to bring that goal to life!
Together, we can keep the Traveling Library rolling strong. Thank you for your support! 🚐📚
How to Give During Raise the Region
- Remember to check our websites to see which prizes we are going for and when to give!
- Donate at www.raisetheregion.org between 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 12 and 11:59 PM on Thursday, Mar. 13
- Simply select ‘Bloomsburg Public Library,’ ‘Friends of the Columbia County Traveling Library,’ and/or ‘Orangeville Public Library’ from the list of non-profits and make your tax-deductible credit/debit card donation. Don’t forget to tell your friends!
If it is possible to make your complete annual donation (instead of a smaller amount), we would receive even more stretch funds, and we can start the year confident in our plans with your up-front investment. Thank you so very much for whatever you can offer to our community of readers!

About Raise the Region
Raise the Region® is a powerful 30-hour online giving campaign that unites community members in supporting local nonprofits. This initiative is designed to highlight and empower the vital work of these organizations, enabling them to address the growing needs of North Central Pennsylvania and create more vibrant communities.
Organized by the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania, Raise the Region® fosters individual giving through a strategic and unified effort that benefits participating nonprofits. Generous support from Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships, including stretching donations and cash prizes, inspires charitable contributions and demonstrates the transformative impact of investing locally.
By participating in this focused campaign, nonprofits increase their online presence, raise awareness for their missions, and secure much-needed resources to strengthen communities and thrive throughout the year.
What is the Stretch Fund?
There is a pool of sponsorship money that is added to the donations received based on a formula, so non-profits receive more than you actually give. We can receive 10-15% more – this means if you give $100, we will receive $110-$115. It adds up with multiple donors. If we raise $10,000 in Raise the Region donations, we would likely receive $1000-$1500 extra in stretch funds!
What About Credit Card Fees?
Some people don’t like to give online because of credit/debit card fees. The stretch fund covers these fees. Donors will have the option to cover the fees on our behalf, which are roughly 7%. If you do cover the fees, we will benefit more. But even if you do not, the stretch fund means we will receive more than the amount of your donation after fees. The system is secure and reputable.
What Prizes Are Available?
There are also many sponsored prizes that increase the chance for our three libraries to benefit from Raise the Region. If you go to the websites listed above on or after March 8, you can get instructions on how to help each library win $1000 or more in prizes, usually by giving at a particular time.
