More Ways to Give
Book Sales
Traveling Library book sales are held twice a year, and have something for every reader! These sales raise crucial funds for the library and are an inexpensive way to build your home library. Learn more here.
Book Donations
Donations are accepted at any of our branch libraries during normal library hours. Small donations may also be made on the bookmobile.
Donation Guidelines For All Libraries
The following is a guide of items we would like to have donated as well as what we are unable to use. All donations should be in good condition, clean, dry and odor-free.
We accept items of all types, but we prefer:
- Books published within the last 5 years
- Recent Bestsellers
- Copies of classic titles
- DVDs (that still play)
- Children’s books
For the health and safety of our customers, volunteers and staff we are unable to use items that are:
- Damaged
- Wet
- Moldy
- Buggy
- Have a strong odor
- Chewed
- Burnt
- Dirty
We need to handle books that we can’t sell, which requires a significant amount of volunteer time. So, before donating, please consider whether you would purchase the book yourself. If not, please consider recycling these items instead.
